    Owensboro...affecting Spencer and Daviess Counties.

    Newburgh Dam..affecting Spencer...Vanderburgh...Warrick...Daviess
      and Henderson Counties.
    Evansville....affecting Posey...Vanderburgh...Warrick...Daviess
      and Henderson Counties.
    Mount Vernon..affecting Posey...Vanderburgh...Henderson and Union
      Counties.
    J.T. Myers Dam..affecting Posey and Union Counties.

    Shawneetown.....affecting Gallatin...Hardin...Crittenden and
      Union Counties.
    Golconda........affecting Hardin...Pope...Crittenden and Livingston
      Counties.

.Heavy rainfall and runoff from upstream have caused river levels to
rise on the Ohio River. At Shawneetown...Minor flooding is occurring and
Moderate flooding is forecast. The river will continue rising to near
43.2 feet by Tuesday morning. At the other locations...Minor flooding is
occurring and/or Minor flooding is forecast. See all of the details below...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

  the Ohio River at Owensboro.
* until Wednesday morning.
* At  6:42 AM Thursday the stage was 40.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 41.3 feet by
  Sunday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 41.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.

  the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam.
* until Friday April 24.
* At 10:00 AM Thursday the stage was 44.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 44.7 feet by
  Saturday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
  Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 46.0 Feet...Highway 662 near the old Lock and Dam 47
  begins to flood. This is approximately 1/2 mile downstream from the
  current lock and dam.

* Flood Stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday early afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 42.3 feet by Monday morning. The river
  will fall below flood stage by early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 42.0 Feet...The river is 3300 feet wide.
