FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KENTUCKY

...The flood warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Illinois...Kentucky...

  Ohio River at Shawneetown affecting Gallatin...Hardin...Crittenden
  and Union Counties

.Water levels continue to fall along the Ohio River. At Shawneetown,
the river went below flood stage this evening, therefore the flood
warning has been cancelled.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Ohio River at Shawneetown.
* At 12:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 32.6 feet.
* Flood Stage is 33.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at  8:00 PM Tuesday.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to 31.4 feet by tomorrow
  morning.
* Impact...At 33.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.
