FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Illinois...Kentucky...

  Ohio River at Grand Chain Dam affecting Massac...Pulaski...Ballard
  and McCracken Counties

.Water levels continue to fall along the Ohio River at Grand Chain.
The river went below flood stage late this afternoon, therefore the
flood warning has been cancelled.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Ohio River at Grand Chain Dam.
* At  6:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 41.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 42.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at  3:00 PM Wednesday.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to 40.9 feet by tomorrow
  morning.
* Impact...At 42.0 Feet...This will cause minor flooding of mainly low
  lying areas.
