FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Patoka River near Princeton

.The Patoka River at Princeton Indiana is falling after a period of
heavy rainfall across the area. The river is forecast to fall into
minor flooding tonight and is expected to fall below flood stage
by Saturday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Patoka River near Princeton
* until late Saturday night.
* At  7:45 PM Thursday the stage was 20.1 feet.
* Flood Stage is 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Saturday evening.
* Impact...At 22.0 Feet...Flooding affects mainly farmland. Seasonal
  camping trailers closest to the river become inundated.
