FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for portions of the Green River
   affecting areas in west Kentucky...

   At Paradise affecting Muhlenberg County
   At Calhoun affecting McLean and Webster Counties

.With the addition of rainfall over the past 24 hours across the
river basin, water levels continue to rise along the Green River
with moderate flood conditions persisting a crests expected
between today and Wednesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for the Green River at Paradise
* until further notice.
* At 9 AM Monday the stage was 390.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 380.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 390.3 feet by
  this evening.

The Flood Warning continues for the Green River at Calhoun
* until further notice.
* At 9 AM Monday the stage was 27.5 feet.
* Flood Stage is 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will crest near 28.3 feet by Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 30.0 Feet...Lower Calhoun begins flooding.  A large
  portion of Rumsey is flooded and evacuation of homes becomes
  necessary.
