FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE HEARTLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
327 PM CDT WED APR 22 2015

.DISCUSSION...

THE INFLUX OF COOL, DRY AIR...RELATIVELY CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT
WINDS TONIGHT WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL INTO THE MIDDLE 30S
NORTH TO NEAR 40 SOUTH BY DAYBREAK THURSDAY MORNING.

THIS WILL ALLOW FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOME PATCHY FROST ACROSS
THE AREA, ESPECIALLY OVER NORTHERN SECTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
AND WEST KENTUCKY, AS WELL AS SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHWEST
INDIANA. THIS COULD IMPACT TENDER VEGETATION SENSITIVE TO THE
DEVELOPMENT OF FROST.

OTHERWISE, FAIR WEATHER AND HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE THE HEARTLAND
THROUGH FRIDAY.

A STORNG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST THROUGH
MISSOURI FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY, BRINGING A GOOD CHANCE
FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD BACK INTO THE AREA SUNDAY AND MONDAY
BEFORE THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE AREA NEXT
TUESDAY.

HIGHS SHOULD BE IN THE 60S AND 70S THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK, WITH
LOWS EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 40S AND 50S.

MINIMUM DAYTIME RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE IN THE 15 TO 25 PERCENT
RANGE EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER ON THURSDAY, WITH 25 TO 35
PERCENT READINGS WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. BY FRIDAY,
THE ONLY RELATIVE HUMIDITY READINGS IN THE 25 TO 35 PERCENT
RANGE WILL BE FOUND EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. AFTER THAT
TIME, RELATIVE HUMIDITY READINGS WILL BE ON THE RISE FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE FORECAST.
