WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
410 AM CDT MON APR 13 2015

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME CLOUDINESS ASSOCIATED WITH A
DISTURBANCE PASSING TO THE NORTH OF THE QUAD STATE REGION,
CONSIDERABLE SUNSHINE REMAINED THE RULE ACROSS THE AREA.

THE ABUNDANT SUNSHINE, COMBINED WITH MILD SOUTHERLY WINDS, HELPED
TEMPERATURES RISE INTO THE UPPER 70S SUNDAY AFTERNOON. EVANSVILLE
INDIANA AND CAPE GIRARDEAU MISSOURI REPORTED A RELATIVELY COOL
HIGH OF 76 DEGREES...WHILE PADUCAH KENTUCKY REPORTED A BALMY 79
DEGREES.

CLOUD COVER AND PERSISTENT SOUTHERLY WINDS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING
COLD FRONT OVERNIGHT HELPED TO KEEP TEMPERATURES ABOVE NORMAL
OVERNIGHT. AT 4 AM CDT, TEMPERATURES HELD IN THE UPPER 50S
NORTHWEST TO LOWER 60S SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE QUAD STATE REGION.

A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE QUAD STATE REGION
TODAY, EXITING THE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

ALTHOUGH THE COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE AREA TONIGHT, IT
WILL SLOW DOWN AND STALL ACROSS THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY
THROUGH THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEK.

A LARGE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO THE DESERT SOUTHWEST
TOWARD THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK AND HELP TO PUSH THE STALLED OUT
FRONTAL BOUNDARY BACK NORTH INTO THE REGION DURING THE LATTER PART
OF THE WEEK. THIS WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS BACK INTO THE PICTURE LATE TUESDAY.

A RATHER CHAOTIC WEATHER PATTERN WILL DEVELOP AND WORK THROUGH THE
AREA LATE IN THE WEEK, BRINGING OFF AND ON CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE QUAD STATE REGION. DRY CONDITIONS SHOULD
PREVAIL AGAIN BY LATE NEXT WEEKEND.

TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THE WEEK SHOULD REMAIN AT OR ABOVE NORMAL
FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
