A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS WERE SEEN ACROSS SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND THE
PENNYRILE REGION OF WEST KENTUCKY YESTERDAY ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER
LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT IS NOW CHURNING EAST TOWARDS
VIRGINIA. HIGHS RANGED FROM THE UPPER 60S IN EVANSVILLE TO THE MID
70S IN POPLAR BLUFF. SKIES CLEARED THIS EVENING AND ALONG WITH LIGHT
WINDS TEMPERATURES HAVE FALLEN INTO THE 40S EARLY THIS MORNING AS
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE PUSHES INTO THE REGION FROM THE NORTH.

A TRANQUIL START TO MAY WILL BE SEEN ACROSS THE HEARTLAND WITH
LITTLE IN THE WAY OF PRECIPITATION EXPECTED UNTIL LATER NEXT WEEK.
UPPER LEVEL RIDGING WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION BY EARLY NEXT WEEK
WITH SOUTHERLY FLOW BRINGING INCREASINGLY WARMER TEMPERATURES
HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND AND CONTINUING NEXT WEEK. HIGHS WILL RISE
FROM THE 70S THIS WEEKEND INTO THE 80S MUCH OF NEXT WEEK LEADING TO
AN EARLY TASTE OF SUMMER. LOWS WILL ALSO BOUNCE UPWARD FROM THE 40S
TONIGHT TO THE 50S THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK.
