A COMPLEX LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CONTINUES DRIFT NORTHEAST ACROSS THE
AREA, PRODUCING WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR MANY
COMMUNITIES. PRECIPITATION REPORTS ARE RANGING FROM A FEW
HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH, UP TO AS MUCH AS 1.5 INCHES. BY MID
AFTERNOON MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING ACROSS THE TWIN
LAKES AREA IN WEST KENTUCKY. MORNING LOW TEMPERATURES TODAY
RANGED FROM THE UPPER 50S NORTH TO MID 50S ELSEWHERE. MID
AFTERNOON HIGHS WERE IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S FOR MANY
COMMUNITIES.

THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEASTWARD
ACROSS THE MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY OVERNIGHT. WET WEATHER
WILL CONTINUE FOR MOST OF US, WITH STRONG THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE
INTO THE LATE EVENING HOURS. AFTER THE LOW DEPARTS MONDAY,
PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL TAPER OFF FROM THE WEST TO EAST AND
USHERING IN DRIER AND COOLER AIR FOR MUCH OF THE QUAD STATE AREA.
HIGH TEMPERATURES MONDAY WILL AVERAGE IN THE 60S WITH OVERNIGHT
LOWS IN THE 40S BY TUESDAY MORNING.
