TEMPERATURES REACHED HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S ACROSS THE QUAD
STATE REGION TODAY. SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY AND WINDS WERE VARIABLE
AT ABOUT 5 MPH ACROSS THE AREA.

MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT AS A WEAK
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE QUAD STATE REGION. THE
POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN OVER THE WEEKEND
AS A LARGE UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM PUSHES NORTHEAST FROM THE
CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE GREAT LAKES REGION. THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOST PRONOUNCED WITH THE PASSAGE OF A WARM
FRONT SATURDAY NIGHT...AND THEN A COLD FRONT LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON
AND SUNDAY NIGHT. NEXT WEEK WILL START OFF DRY AND SLIGHTLY COOLER
THAN NORMAL AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES OVER THE REGION.
