FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
356 PM AKDT SAT APR 25 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A SURFACE LOW IN THE SOUTHERN GULF WILL REMAIN THE DOMINANT SURFACE
INFLUENCE THROUGH MONDAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS THIS EVENING ACROSS
THE SOUTHWEST WILL DIMINISH LATE TONIGHT WITH EASTERLY WINDS
BACKING TO THE NORTH. WINDS GUST THROUGH THE EVENING ACROSS THE
GREATER BRISTOL BAY AREA AS THE LOW TIGHTENS THE PRESSURE GRADIENT
ON ITS APPROACH FROM THE GULF. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES
DROP INTO THE 30 TO 40 PERCENT RANGE ACROSS THE KUSKOKWIM VALLEY
DURING THE AFTERNOONS AND THEN ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE GOOD RECOVERY
OVERNIGHT.
