NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
757 AM EDT SAT MAY 2 2015

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1000 EDT ON MAY 02.

.DISCUSSION...MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR A
BURN TODAY WITH MIXING HEIGHTS EXPECTED TO EXCEED 5000 FT. DRY
AIR IN PLACE UNDER SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL PREVENT ANY CHANCE
OF RAIN. SOME UNCERTAINTY REGARDING SURFACE WINDS AND TRANSPORT
WIND THIS AFTERNOON AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE AREA AND
WINDS BECOME LIGHT AND DIRECTION COULD BECOME A BIT VARIABLE
BUT EXPECT THE PREVAILING DIRECTION TO REMAIN NORTHWESTERLY.
WIDESPREAD FOG NOT EXPECTED BUT PATCHY FOG MAY DEVELOP IN LOW
LYING AREAS AND AROUND BODIES OF WATER SUNDAY MORNING.

POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK INCLUDING OBSERVATIONS TAKEN AT
THE BURN SITE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. YOU CAN USE THE SAME
WEBPAGE WHERE YOU REQUESTED THE SPOT FORECAST FOR THIS. YOU MAY
ALSO CALL OUR OFFICE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.
