WEATHER SUMMARY FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS

Warm and breezy weather prevailed over central and southeast Illinois
on Wednesday.  Southerly winds gusted over 20 MPH, and helped push
high temperatures well above normal, into the middle 80s.

An upper level disturbance over the Plains, will bring scattered
showers and thunderstorms to areas west of the Mississippi River
Valley, for tonight and Thursday.  Farther east, warm and dry
weather will remain in place.  As the storm system shifts to the
east, the unsettled weather pattern will overspread the entire
region on Friday.  Periods of showers and thunderstorms can be
expected through the upcoming weekend, with locally heavy rainfall
possible.

Low temperatures tonight will drop into the upper 50s to middle 60s
across the Midwest.  Highs on Thursday will range from the upper
70s in central Iowa, to the middle 80s in central Illinois.
