THIS MORNING AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS LOCATED IN NORTHWEST
NORTH DAKOTA. THE MAIN FEATURE OF FOCUS TODAY WILL BE THE COLD
FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE SYSTEM...WHICH EXTENDED SOUTHWEST OF THE
LOW TO SOUTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA. THE WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE
LOW EXTENDED SOUTHEAST OF THE LOW INTO SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA. THIS
BROUGHT CLOUDY SKIES TO MOST OF THE STATE. THE COOL SPOT IN THE STATE
WAS ALONG THE LAKE SUPERIOR SHORELINE WHERE TEMPERATURES RANGED
FROM THE UPPER 20S TO LOW 30S. ELSEWHERE TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM
THE MID 40S IN THE NORTHWEST TO THE LOW TO MID 60S IN THE SOUTHERN
PORTION OF THE STATE.

BY THIS EVENING THE LOW WILL MOVE INTO NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA WHILE
THE FRONT PUSHES THROUGH THE WESTERN HALF OF THE STATE. AHEAD OF THE
FRONT THERE WILL BE A THREAT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR
EASTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A FEW
STORMS MAY BE STRONG IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WITH THE MAIN THREAT
BEING WINDS AND HAIL. IT WILL BE WINDY STATEWIDE TODAY. HIGH
TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM THE 60S TO 70S FROM NORTH TO
SOUTH...HOWEVER CLOSER TO LAKE SUPERIOR HIGHS RANGE FROM THE MID
40S TO MID 50S.

TONIGHT...THE FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE STATE LATE. AS A RESULT
SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS
THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE STATE...WITH MOST OF THE ACTIVITY ENDING
BEFORE MIDNIGHT. CLOUD COVER WILL DECREASE AFTER THE FRONTS
PASSAGE. LOW TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S TO MID 40S.

THURSDAY...ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE STATE. THIS WILL
BRING A THREAT OF A WINTRY MIX OR RAIN TO FAR NORTHERN
MINNESOTA...ELSEWHERE DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED. HIGHS IN THE MID TO
UPPER 40S IN THE NORTHWEST. ELSEWHERE READINGS WILL RANGE FROM THE
50S TO LOW 60S.
