.SHORT TERM...TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. CURRENT WATER VAPOR
IMAGERY SHOWS AN WAVE/WEAK COLD FRONT WITH LIMITED MOISTURE OVER
SOUTHERN BRITISH COLUMBIA AND NORTHERN IDAHO. ALSO...THIS IMAGERY
SHOWS MOISTURE OVER NEVADA AND IDAHO JUST SOUTH OF OUR BORDER.
EXPECT THE WAVE/WEAK COLD FRONT TO MOVE OVER OUR AREA THIS
AFTERNOON. ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED OVER THE EASTERN CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AS WELL AS THE
PAHSIMEROI MOUNTAINS...EASTERN HIGHLAND AND SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS
THIS AFTERNOON. GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. EXPECT BREEZY WINDS THIS AFTERNOON WITH
GUSTS NEAR 30 TO 35 MPH PARTICULARLY FOR THE UPPER SNAKE RIVER
PLAIN AND TO AN LESSER EXTENT FOR THE LOWER SNAKE RIVER PLAIN AND
THE EASTERN MAGIC VALLEY. SOME SLIGHTLY REDUCED VISIBILITY MAY BE
POSSIBLE FROM BLOWING DUST. THERE WILL LIKELY BE SOME CHOPPY WAVES
ON LAKES LIKE THE AMERICAN FALLS RESERVOIR PARTICULARLY FROM 2 PM
TO 7 PM. LATE SUNDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON EXPECT ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN ACROSS THE PAHSIMEROI
MOUNTAINS...EASTERN HIGHLANDS AND SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS. WEAK HIGH
PRESSURE RIDGING BUILDS IN OVER THE AREA OVERNIGHT ON SUNDAY.
MONDAY THE RIDGING MOVES EAST CREATING A SOUTHWEST FLOW ACROSS THE
AREA. MOISTURE MOVES IN FROM THE SOUTH CREATING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY. AS THE NEXT SYSTEM
APPROACHES EXPECT A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS OVERNIGHT INTO
TUESDAY MORNING MAINLY ACROSS THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHERN
HIGHLANDS. EXPECT ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE PERIOD
PARTICULARLY TODAY WHERE TEMPERATURES WILL REACH NEAR 80 ACROSS
THE SNAKE RIVER PLAIN. WYATT

.LONG TERM...TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH NEXT SATURDAY. THE GFSX AND
ECMWF BOTH SHOW A BROAD SLOW MOVING UPPER LOW SPREADING INTO THE NW
STATES TUESDAY WITH INCREASING SPREAD ON THE POSITION AND EVOLUTION
OF THE SYSTEM WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. MODEL AGREEMENT IS A
LITTLE BETTER THAN PREVIOUS RUNS AND THUS HAVE NUDGED THE
PRECIPITATION CHANCES UPWARD SOME. A FAIRLY DECENT SURFACE FRONT IS
EXPECTED TO TRAVERSE THE AREA EARLY TUESDAY WITH COOLER
TEMPERATURES PREVAILING THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. HUSTON

AFTERNOON HELPING TO SUPPORT ISOLATED TO SCATTERED CONVECTION ACROSS
THE SE HIGHLANDS AND ISLAND PARK REGION. VFR CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
TO PREVAIL AT THE TERMINALS THIS MORNING WITH VICINITY TSTMS
CROPPING UP NEAR KBYI...KPIH AND KIDA THIS AFTERNOON ALONG WITH
BREEZY WINDS. HUSTON
