STRENGTHENING TODAY WITH A PEAK FRI NIGHT...THEN A BREAK DOWN OF
THE RIDGE BY A WEAK SHORTWAVE SAT/SAT NIGHT. VERY WARM CONDITIONS
MEAN A RAIN EVENT BELOW 9000 FEET. AMOUNTS VERY LIGHT...WITH
SOUTHERN PORTION AND LOW ELEVATIONS OF THE FORECAST AREA
EXPECTING VERY LITTLE PRECIPITATION. MAX TEMPERATURES WILL BE
CLOSE TO RECORDS ON FRI AFTERNOON. SAT SHOULD BE WINDY WITH THE
FRONTAL PASSAGE...OTHERWISE JUST SOME BREEZY AFTERNOONS. MESSICK

.LONG TERM...SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. FLAT UPPER RIDGE OVER
THE NORTHERN ROCKIES ON SUNDAY WILL BUILD UP ON MONDAY AHEAD OF A
FAST MOVING UPPER TROF ENTERING THE PAC NW. THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING
LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS TO THE CENTRAL MTNS MON NIGHT...SPREADING TO THE
EASTERN HIGHLANDS ON TUE. A COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE ON TUE WILL BRING
STRONG WINDS AND COOLER TEMPS. BRIEF RIDGING ON WED WILL BRING DRIER
CONDITIONS...BUT NOT FOR LONG. ANOTHER FAST MOVING UPPER TROF IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE PAC NW LATE WED...WITH LIGHT SNOW
SPREADING INTO THE CENTRAL MTNS BY WED EVE. LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS MOVE
INTO THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN HIGHLANDS...AND THE UPPER SNAKE RIVER
PLAIN BY THU MORN. ANOTHER COLD FRONT ON THU WILL BRING COOLER TEMPS
