...GUSTY WIND AND UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES FOR SATURDAY...

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH WESTERN WYOMING SATURDAY WHICH WILL HELP
TO INCREASE WEST WINDS DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON. WIND
SPEEDS IN THE CODY FOOTHILLS WILL BE 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
AROUND 45 MPH. THERE COULD BE SOME WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 60 MPH WEST OF
CLARK. WIND SPEEDS IN THE MOUNTAINS WILL BE 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS
OF 50 TO 60 MPH. BE PREPARED FOR GUSTY AND ERRATIC WIND IF YOU PLAN
TO TRAVEL OVER CHIEF JOSEPH PASS OR ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 120 THROUGH
PARK COUNTY.

THE WIND WILL ALSO BOOST HIGH TEMPERATURES SATURDAY IN PARK COUNTY.
HIGHS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID 60S TO LOWER 70S IN CODY AND
NEARBY FOOTHILL COMMUNITIES. MOUNTAIN TEMPERATURES WILL REACH THE
UPPER 40S AND 50S. THE COMBINATION OF THE UNSEASONABLY WARM
TEMPERATURES AND GUSTY WIND WILL CREATE ELEVATED FIRE CONCERNS.
THEREFORE...RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED NOT TO CONDUCT ANY AGRICULTURAL
BURNING ON SATURDAY. ANY FIRE COULD RAPIDLY SPREAD THROUGH FINE
FUELS SUCH AS GRASSES AND SMALL VEGETATION.

A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH ACROSS THE BIG HORN BASIN SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AND EVENING CAUSING A NOTICEABLE INCREASE IN WIND SPEED AND A CHANGE
IN THE WIND DIRECTION. SOUTHWEST WIND OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL SWITCH TO
THE NORTHWEST DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AS THE COLD FRONT SWEEPS
ACROSS BIG HORN AND WASHAKIE COUNTIES. NORTHWEST WIND BEHIND THE COLD
FRONT WILL BE 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH.

THE WIND WILL ALSO BOOST HIGH TEMPERATURES INTO THE LOWER TO MID 70S
SATURDAY. THE COMBINATION OF THE UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES AND

CAUSING A NOTICEABLE INCREASE IN WIND SPEED AND A CHANGE IN THE WIND
