IN THE WAKE OF A WARM FRONT...TEMPERATURES STAYED VERY MILD ACROSS
WESTERN NEBRASKA OVERNIGHT. LOWS RANGED FROM THE UPPER 40S IN THE
PANHANDLE TO THE MID 50S THROUGHOUT THE SANDHILLS AND PLATTE RIVER
VALLEY. SOUTH WINDS STAYED RELATIVELY BREEZY INTO THE MORNING HOURS.

A COLD FRONT MOVING THROUGH THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL
KEEP WINDS BREEZY AND BRING A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS...PRIMARILY
TO SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL NEBRASKA. BECAUSE NOT MUCH MOISTURE IS
ANTICIPATED...POSSIBLE DRY LIGHTNING WITH THE GUSTY WINDS WILL
GREATLY INCREASE THE FIRE THREAT. HIGH TEMPS WILL BE IN THE LOWER 80S
FOR MANY AREAS EAST OF HIGHWAY 83 AND THE 70S WEST.
