THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
  WILL IMPACT MAINLY PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL
  MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS CANNOT
  BE RULED ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE OUTLOOK AREA. THE CHANCE OF
  THUNDERSTORMS MAY INCREASE ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR
  SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI LATE TONIGHT.

  CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE MAIN HAZARD FROM THESE
  STORMS.

  THERE IS A LIMITED RISK FOR LOCALIZED FLOODING WHERE MULTIPLE
  ROUNDS OF STORMS TRACK OVER THE SAME AREAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

  MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED SUNDAY INTO SUNDAY EVENING AS A
  SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. THERE IS A
  LIMITED TO ELEVATED RISK FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS IF ENOUGH
  INSTABILITY CAN DEVELOP. THE GREATEST RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER
  SUNDAY WILL BE ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI GENERALLY SOUTH OF
  INTERSTATE 44. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND A LIMITED RISK FOR
  FLOODING WILL CONTINUE.

  A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY OF
  NEXT WEEK.
