.SHORT TERM(TODAY THRU FRI NIGHT)...
FORECAST QUANDARIES...SHWR/TSTM POTENTIAL PLATEAU WED AND THU
AFTERNOONS...TEMPS.

FORECAST LOOKS TO BE STATUS QUO PER CONTINUED RATHER STRONG
MODEL CONSENSUS...WITH CAROLINAS BASED SFC HIGH PRESSURE INFLUENCES
USHERING IN SLY FLOW ACROSS THE MID STATE...AND ENHANCING UPPER
LEVEL RIDGING DYNAMICS FROM THE SW U.S. BUILDING INTO THE REGION ALSO
PROVIDING WIDESPREAD SUBSIDENCE. SO AGAIN...ANY WAY YOU SLICE
IT...WARM AND GENERALLY DRY WX WITH MOCLR TO PTCLDY SKIES IS
EXPECTED TODAY THRU THU NIGHT. EXCEPTIONS TO THE DRY CONDITIONS
WILL BE THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME ISO SHWRS/TSTMS UPPER CUMBERLAND
WED AFTERNOON DUE TO INCREASING ATM MOISTURE POTENTIAL INTERACTING
WITH DIURNAL AND OROGRAPHIC AFFECTS...AND AGAIN ON THU AFTERNOON
ACROSS THE ENTIRE PLATEAU REGION...AS MOISTURE INCREASES ACROSS
THIS AREA IN RESPONSE TO SFC LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHING THE
MID-ATLANTIC COAST. AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPS WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN
ABOVE SEASONAL NORMAL VALUES WITH HIGH TEMPS IN SOME LOCATIONS
APPROACHING TEN DEGREES ABOVE THESE SEASONAL NORMS. HIGHS WILL
GENERALLY BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 80S...UPPER 70S TO AROUND 80
PLATEAU. LOWS WILL BE IN THE UPPER 50S TO AROUND 60.

WARM AND TRANQUIL WEATHER CONTINUES AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE
PERSISTS EAST OF THE AREA. SLIGHTLY DEEPER MOISTURE IS EXPECTED OVER
THE PLATEAU FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH SOME DEGREE OF UPSLOPE
FLOW. THIS COULD LEAD TO A COUPLE OF DIURNALLY DRIVEN ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS IN THAT AREA. FRIDAY LOOKS SLIGHTLY DRIER THEREFORE
LEFT NO MENTION OF WEATHER. BEGINNING OVER THE WEEKEND ATTENTION
WILL HAVE TO BE GIVEN TO THE TROUGH SLOWLY TRAVERSING THE CENTRAL
PLAINS. RIDGE APPEARS TO REMAIN STRONG ENOUGH AND THE AXIS ORIENTED
CLOSE ENOUGH TO MIDDLE TN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY TO LIMIT ANY
SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION. POPS WILL BE SLIGHTLY HIGHER ON SATURDAY
IN THE WEST WHERE MORE MOISTURE WILL BE AVAILABLE. POPS WILL SLOWLY
INCREASE ON SUNDAY...MONDAY...AND MONDAY NIGHT UNTIL FROPA TUESDAY
MORNING. POPS WILL THEN BEGIN TO DECREASE WEST TO EAST ON TUESDAY.

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN WELL ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
850 MB TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY CLIMB THROUGH SUNDAY RESULTING IN
TEMPERATURES ACROSS MIDDLE TN IN THE MID TO EVEN A FEW UPPER 80S
BY SATURDAY. SUNDAY COULD BE JUST AS WARM AS SATURDAY AS LONG AS
CLOUD COVER DOESN`T SNEAK IN FROM THE WEST. MONDAY WILL BE A
COUPLE OF DEGREES COOLER WITH INCREASED CLOUD COVER. LOOK FOR
HIGHS TO BE CLOSER TO NORMAL ON TUESDAY BEHIND THE FRONT.
