Daily Hydrologic Activities Discussion

During the past 24 hours ending at 12z Wednesday, precipitation fell
across northern and western Montana and northwest Wyoming. Rain and
snow showers occurred in the mountains with rain showers in the lower
elevations. Water equivalent amounts were under half an inch.

During the next 24 hours ending at 12z Thursday, a mix of rain and
snow showers can be expected in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and
northern North Dakota. Showers and thunderstorms will occur in
Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. Thunderstorms in eastern
Nebraska, Iowa, northeast Kansas and northern Missouri will produce
rainfall in the half inch to one and a half inch range. Locally
higher amounts around two inches are possible as well. Water
equivalent amounts elsewhere will generally be under half an inch.

No flooding is present in the Missouri River Basin and none is
forecast to occur. However, heavy rain from the thunderstorms will
cause significant rises in streams.
