THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

WIDESPREAD RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST
ACROSS THE REGION OVERNIGHT. STRONG OR SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED...BUT RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL IN CENTRAL KANSAS MAY LEAD TO
LOCALIZED MINOR FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A FEW ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...MAINLY ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 135.
WHILE THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY ON THUNDERSTORM
COVERAGE...ANYTHING THAT CAN DEVELOP WILL BE CAPABLE OF LARGE
HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND PERHAPS A FEW ISOLATED TORNADOES. A
WIDESPREAD...HIGH-END SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK APPEARS UNLIKELY AT
THIS TIME.

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUE FOR BOTH THURSDAY
AND FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AS A FRONT GRADUALLY STALLS
ACROSS THE REGION. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE THE MAIN
CONCERNS...ALONG WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR VERY HEAVY RAINFALL AND
LOCALIZED FLOODING. A BRIEF TORNADO OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT AS
WELL.

THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AND EVENING AND PERHAPS EVEN SUNDAY...AS A STRONG STORM SYSTEM
APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. ALL FACETS OF SEVERE WEATHER ARE
ONCE AGAIN POSSIBLE. THE WEATHER SHOULD TURN MUCH QUIETER BY
EARLY NEXT WEEK.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

STORM SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED TONIGHT...BUT MAY BE
NEEDED WEDNESDAY LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING GENERALLY ALONG AND
WEST OF INTERSTATE 135.
