WEATHER SUMMARY FOR ARKANSAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LITTLE ROCK AR
523 PM CDT MON APR 20 2015

HIGH PRESSURE HAD MOVED INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TODAY IN THE WAKE
OF THE DEPARTING STORM SYSTEM THAT BROUGHT THE SEVERE WEATHER TO THE
NATURAL STATE ON SUNDAY. SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY ACROSS THE
STATE...WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE MID 60S TO NEAR
70...EXCEPT ON THE LOWER 60S ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTHWEST. GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS BROUGHT A MUCH COOLER AND DRIER AIR MASS INTO THE
REGION. A MOSTLY CLEAR SKY IS EXPECTED OVERNIGHT...WITH LOWS RANGING
FROM THE LOWER 40S ACROSS THE NORTH...TO THE UPPER 40S OVER THE
SOUTH.

GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY...BUT A WEAK
UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS TO MAINLY
THE NORTHERN SECTIONS OF THE STATE ON TUESDAY. UNSETTLED CONDITIONS
WILL RETURN FOR FOR A LARGER PORTION OF THE AREA FOR THE REMAINDER
OF THE WEEK AS A FRONT DROPS DOWN FROM THE NORTH AND MEANDERS AROUND
THE REGION. THIS FRONT WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...WITH THE BEST CHANCES OCCURRING DURING THE AFTERNOON
AND EVENING HOURS EACH DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL AVERAGE A LITTLE BELOW
NORMAL OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
