WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE MIDSOUTH

SEASONABLY COOL TEMPERATURES AND CLOUDY SKIES WILL CONTINUE TODAY.
RAIN IS LIKELY IN NORTH MISSISSIPPI BUT LESS LIKELY FARTHER NORTH
IN WEST TENNESSEE...EAST ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL.

AN UPPER LEVEL CLOSED LOW CURRENTLY OVER THE TEXAS PANHANDLE WILL
CONTINUE MOVE EASTWARD APPROACHING THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER
VALLEY REGION. THIS DISTURBANCE WILL INCREASE RAIN CHANCES FOR
THE REGION BEGINNING TUESDAY THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURES
WILL REMAIN BELOW NORMAL THIS WEEK WITH HIGHS MAINLY IN THE 60S
AND WARMING TO THE 70S AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE WEEKEND. DRY AIR
WILL FILTER INTO THE REGION ONCE AGAIN AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS
OVER THE MIDSOUTH FOLLOWING THE DEPARTURE OF THE DISTURBANCE ON
WEDNESDAY.
