TODAY WAS COOLER ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS BEHIND THE COLD
FRONTAL PASSAGE FROM LAST NIGHT. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE AROUND
60 DEGREES. EASTERLY WINDS RANGED FROM 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 15
MPH.

A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING
AND TONIGHT MAINLY ACROSS THE TEXAS PANHANDLE AND OKLAHOMA. SOME OF
THE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE PARTICULARLY IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE TO
SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA. THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS AND POSSIBLY A TORNADO. OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL DROP TO
NEAR FREEZING IN EASTERN NEBRASKA WHILE THE HIGH PLAINS WILL BE
CLOSER TO 40 DEGREES. OKLAHOMA AND THE TEXAS PANHANDLE ARE FORECAST
TO HAVE LOWS AROUND 50 DEGREES. CLOUD COVER WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT
ESPECIALLY ACROSS KANSAS. WINDS WILL BE OUT OF THE EAST TO SOUTHEAST
AT 5 TO 15 MPH.

A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR MOST OF
THE DAY IN OKLAHOMA. CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE GOING
TO INCREASE IN THE AFTERNOON WITH THE NEXT APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM FOR EASTERN COLORADO AND WESTERN NEBRASKA. HIGHS IN THE
AFTERNOON ARE FORECAST TO BE IN THE 60S. WINDS WILL BE VARIABLE
ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS WITH A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION IN THE NORTH TO
SOUTHEASTERLY IN KANSAS...AND EASTERLY IN OKLAHOMA. SPEEDS SHALL
RANGE FROM 10 TO 20 MPH WITH POSSIBLE GUSTS TO 30 MPH LATER IN THE
AFTERNOON.
