REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR EASTERN KANSAS

MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WERE FOUND ACROSS THE PLAINS STATES
OVERNIGHT...AS SOUTHERLY BREEZES CONTINUE WERE ACROSS THE REGION.  A
WEAK SURFACE TROUGH WAS LOCATED ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS AND SOUTHWEST
NEBRASKA...WHICH HAS LED TO SOME LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS ACROSS PORTIONS
OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL KANSAS. EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES RANGED
FROM THE LOWER 50S IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI TO THE LOWER 60S IN KANSAS
AND OKLAHOMA.

THE SURFACE TROUGH WILL GRADUALLY SHIFT A LITTLE FURTHER SOUTHEAST
TODAY. AS THIS BOUNDARY PUSHES EAST...A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL KANSAS THIS
AFTERNOON.  THE REST OF THE REGION WILL SEE ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES CONTINUE WITH SOUTHERLY BREEZES. HIGH TEMPERATURES
TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE IN WESTERN KANSAS TO THE LOWER 70S
IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI.

THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE OVER WESTERN KANSAS TONIGHT...AS
THE TROUGH WASHES OUT.  THE REST OF THE REGION WILL SEE PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE LOWER 50S IN
WESTERN KANSAS TO THE LOWER 60S ACROSS SOUTHERN KANSAS.
