Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Missoula MT
211 PM MDT MON APR 27 2015

...Much warmer Tuesday...

.DISCUSSION...This afternoon`s clear skies and pleasant weather
will continue into Tuesday. Tuesday looks to be an even warmer
day, with temperatures rising notably, as high as 15 to 20 degrees
above normal. Many areas should see the warmest temperatures so
far this spring. Kalispell, Libby, Eureka, Grangeville, Orofino
and Missoula and other low valleys in western Montana and north
central Idaho should see high temperatures in the 70s to lower
80s. The warm spot should end up being along the lower Salmon and
Snake River where lower 90s are possible in Riggins. Valleys will
cool quickly under clear skies both tonight and Tuesday night, but
expect thermal belts in the terrain where warmer temperatures and
lower humidities will remain overnight.

A cold front is expected to move across the northern Rockies and
produce breezy conditions Wednesday, especially across western
Montana. There may be moderate impacts to area lakes where choppy
to rough wave conditions should develop. There is not a lot of
moisture associated with the cold front, so precipitation will
remain scattered and very light.

A generally dry westerly flow with a little above normal daytime
temperatures and rather cool nights is expected Thursday into
Saturday. However, afternoon west winds of light to moderate
significance can also be expected each day.

&&

.AVIATION...High pressure over the region will lead to fair
weather for the next 24 hours. Light terrain-driven winds will be
present this afternoon. Clear skies overnight could lead to
patchy fog near bodies of water in the early morning. Further
warming and fair weather is expected Tuesday afternoon.
