BREVARD COUNTY WATERS OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...

COASTAL WATERS FROM THE VOLUSIA BREVARD COUNTY LINE TO SEBASTIAN
INLET OUT 60 NM...

AT 636 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF STRONG STORMS
PRODUCING WIND GUSTS OF 25 TO 33 KNOTS APPROACHING BREVARD COUNTY
FROM THE WEST AT ABOUT 35 KNOTS. ADDITIONALLY...A LARGE OUTFLOW
BOUNDARY WAS PUSHING SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE CAPE CANAVERAL AREA AND
THE ADJACENT ATLANTIC WATERS. THIS FEATURE HAS A HISTORY OF
PRODUCING WIDESPREAD WIND GUSTS OF AROUND 30 KNOTS.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
