VARIABLE CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED ACROSS THE QUAD STATE ARE FRIDAY,
WITH RAIN, SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS OCCURRING ACROSS PORTIONS
OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI INTO MID AFTERNOON. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
REMAINED ON THE LIGHT SIDE. MORNING LOWS RANGED FROM THE UPPER 30S
ALONG THE INTERSTATE 64 CORRIDOR, TO LOW 50S IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
WHERE MOST OF THE CLOUDS WERE. AFTERNOON HIGHS CLIMBED UP INTO THE
MID 60S, BUT REMAINED IN THE 50S WHERE RAIN WAS OCCURRING.

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL TAKE SHAPE OVER THE AREA OVERNIGHT.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO
TONIGHT AS A WARM FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA. ON SATURDAY THERE
SHOULD BE A BREAK IN THE RAIN IN THE MORNING. HOWEVER, SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP DURING THE AFTERNOON WITH
DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAIL AND A FEW TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE.
HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN SETTLE IN ON SUNDAY AND SHOULD KEEP MOST
OF NEXT WEEK DRY WITH BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
