WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO

SKIES CLEARED OVERNIGHT ACROSS PUERTO RICO AND ONLY A FEW TINY
LIGHT SHOWERS WERE SEEN OVER THE LOCAL COASTAL WATERS AND ENTERING
THE SOUTHEAST COAST EARLY THIS MORNING. WINDS WERE MAINLY FROM THE
SOUTH SOUTHEAST WITH LAND BREEZE VARIATIONS AND THE MORNING
TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE UPPER 70S TO THE MID AND UPPER 60S.

A LOW LEVEL SOUTHEAST FLOW WILL MAINTAIN WARM TO HOT CONDITIONS
INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH THE RISK OF A FEW SHOWERS ACROSS THE
NORTHERN SLOPES DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. OTHERWISE...THE MID
TO UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL MAINTAIN DRY AND HOT CONDITIONS MUCH OF
NEXT WEEK WITH DAILY MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 90S ACROSS
THE LOWER ELEVATIONS AND RECORD WARM TEMPERATURES POSSIBLE IN THE
GREATER SAN JUAN METROPOLITAN AREA. THE RECORD HIGH TO BEAT TODAY
WILL BE 93 DEGREES SET IN 1983.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...GENTLE TO MODERATE SOUTH WINDS UP TO
15 KNOTS WILL LEAVE SEAS AT 4 FEET OR LESS.
