THIS OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS WELL AS
MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...LIMITED.
AREA...FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
ONSET...AFTER MIDNIGHT.

FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK...ELEVATED.
AREA...NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
ONSET...ONGOING.

DISCUSSION...
CONTINUED DRY CONDITIONS...LOW MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...AND A
RETURN TO SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL FUEL AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER ACROSS
MUCH OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON. THE WORST CONDITIONS
WILL GENERALLY BE FOUND NORTH AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 44.

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY SOUTH OF THE REGION WILL MOVE NORTH
TONIGHT...PROVIDING A FOCUS FOR POTENTIAL ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT ACROSS FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AFTER MIDNIGHT. SEVERE
WEATHER IS NOT ANTICIPATED.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.
TUESDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
WEDNESDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL...VERY HIGH FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL...
            HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...NO HAZARDS.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
AT LEAST SMALL THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL REMAIN THROUGH MUCH OF
THE NEXT WEEK...AS A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES MOVES
ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN ARKANSAS. THE GREATEST CHANCE
OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL ARRIVE LATE THURSDAY AND INTO FRIDAY AS A
FRONT APPROACHES AND EVENTUALLY PASSES THROUGH PARTS OF THE
REGION. INSTABILITY AND SHEAR PARAMETERS WILL SUPPORT SEVERE
WEATHER POTENTIAL WITH THE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY THUNDERSTORMS...WITH
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER UNLIKELY PRIOR TO THAT.

IN ADDITION TO THE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL THIS COMING WEEK...GUSTY
SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP WEDNESDAY ACROSS THE AREA AHEAD OF
THE THURSDAY FRONT...WHICH WILL SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASE THE RISK OF
RAPID FIRE SPREAD.
