THIS OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS WELL AS
MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

AREA...NEAR RED RIVER IN FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
ONSET...THIS AFTERNOON.

FLASH FLOOD.
RISK...LIMITED.
AREA...EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
ONSET...MID MORNING.

HEAVY RAIN.
RISK...LIMITED.
AREA...EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.
ONSET...MID MORNING.

AREA...EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS.

DISCUSSION...
ONGOING SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS ALONG WITH ISOLATED EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS EARLY THIS MORNING WILL CONTINUE TO LIFT NORTH AND
NORTHEAST OVER NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THIS
MORNING. A SECOND ROUND OF ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
DURING THE DAY TODAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE MOVES INTO THE
REGION. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE
ADDITIONAL PRECIPITATION...WHICH COULD CREATE POTENTIAL FLASH
FLOODING CONDITIONS OVER PARTS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA. AN ISOLATED
STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON OVER FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...MAINLY NEAR
THE RED RIVER.

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL REMAIN OVER EASTERN OKLAHOMA
AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THIS EVENING BEFORE BECOMING MAINLY RAIN
CHANCES OVERNIGHT. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG WITH A FLASH
FLOODING POTENTIAL WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
LOCAL SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED BUT IS NOT ANTICIPATED.

TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...NO HAZARDS.
SUNDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
ONGOING RAIN SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON
BEFORE THE UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE EXITS THE REGION. IN THE WAKE
OF THE EXITING LOW PRESSURE...A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS FORECAST
TO SET UP OVER THE PLAINS ALLOWING FOR DRY CONDITIONS AND WARMING
TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES
LOOK TO RETURN DURING THE WEEKEND AS ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
APPROACHES THE PLAINS.
