DISCUSSION...

ONGOING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA ARE
EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LIMITS THROUGH AT LEAST THE LATE
AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY ACROSS PARTS OF TEXAS
WILL MOVE EAST THROUGH THE DAY...AND MAY IMPACT PARTS OF SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA MAINLY AFTER 5 PM. THE ATMOSPHERE BY THAT TIME IS EXPECTED
TO BE MORE UNSTABLE AND GIVEN THE VERY STRONG WIND SHEAR
PROFILES...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA GOING INTO THE EVENING HOURS. AREAS OF SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA NEAR THE RED RIVER WILL HAVE A LIMITED TORNADO
THREAT...ALTHOUGH THE HIGHEST TORNADO THREAT SHOULD REMAIN FARTHER
SOUTH INTO TEXAS. THE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER ACROSS SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA SHOULD WIND DOWN LATER THIS EVENING.

THE ONGOING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND
NORTHERN TEXAS HAS GREATLY AFFECTED THE MOISTURE RETURN AND
INSTABILITY ACROSS A LARGE PART OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST
ARKANSAS. THUS...THE CHANCES OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING OFF THE
DRYLINE AND IMPACTING PARTS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST
ARKANSAS ARE QUITE SLIM THROUGH TONIGHT.

PLEASE REMAIN AWARE OF THE LATEST FORECAST UPDATES FROM THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
ACTIVATION OF THE REGIONAL SPOTTER NETWORK IS POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
SATURDAY...HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.
SUNDAY...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL...HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.
MONDAY...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...NO HAZARDS.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE FORECAST TO INCREASE SUNDAY NIGHT INTO
MONDAY AS ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE
PLAINS. INCREASING INSTABILITY AHEAD OF THE NEXT SYSTEM WILL ALLOW
FOR THE POTENTIAL OF SEVERE WEATHER. AFTER THIS SYSTEM EXITS THE
REGION...HIGH PRESSURE LOOKS TO SET UP OVER THE PLAINS WITHIN
NORTHWESTERLY UPPER LEVEL FLOW.
