.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL SIT ACROSS THE REGION TODAY
BRINGING WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MPH. TEMPERATURES WILL
REACH THE 60S ACROSS MOST LOCATIONS. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY
WILL DROP TO 13 TO 20 PERCENT. THE GRASSLAND WILL GENERALLY BE IN
THE HIGH TO VERY HIGH CATEGORY TODAY.

STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL BRING MUCH WARMER WEATHER TO THE
REGION TUESDAY. WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS ARE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING.
IN ADDITION...RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES OF 10 TO 15 PERCENT ARE
EXPECTED. AS A RESULT...A FIRE WEATHER WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED
AREAWIDE TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING. THE GRASSLAND
FIRE DANGER WILL BE EXTREME TUESDAY.

VERY LOW MOISTURE CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY
ORGANIC MATERIAL ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT DANGEROUS
BURNING CONDITIONS EXIST. FIRES WILL SPREAD RAPIDLY AND
SHOW ERRATIC BEHAVIOR. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
