WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE MIDSOUTH

A WARM FRONT WILL CONTINUE MOVING NORTHWARD TODAY. WINDS WILL TURN
AROUND TO THE SOUTH ALLOWING TEMPERATURES TO WARM INTO THE LOWER TO
MID 80S FOR HIGHS. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP
DURING THE AFTERNOON DUE TO DAYTIME HEATING MAINLY IN AREAS OF WEST
TENNESSEE NEAR THE TENNESSEE RIVER AND NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI.

A COLD FRONT WILL THEN PUSH INTO THE MIDSOUTH TONIGHT INTO
SUNDAY. LITTLE OR NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF
THE FRONT. COOLER AND DRIER WEATHER WILL OCCUR BEHIND THE FRONT
WHICH WILL CONTINUE INTO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK.

THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL COME LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY AS
AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES OVER THE AREA. CLOUDS AND
RAIN WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S FOR HIGHS.
