A COLD FRONT HAD MOVED ACROSS THE APPALACHIANS AND CENTRAL MID
ATLANTIC REGION DURING THE EARLY OVERNIGHT HOURS...AND THERE WERE
A FEW LINGERING SPRINKLES MAINLY ALONG THE FAR WESTERN SLOPES. BY
DAYBREAK...READINGS IN THE LOW TO MID 50S COULD BE FOUND EAST OF
THE BLUE RIDGE...WITH LOW TO MID 40S WEST AND EVEN SOME 30S ALONG
THE RIDGES.

.FORECAST SUMMARY...
COOL HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING GENERALLY FAIR AND BREEZY WEATHER
TO THE REGION TODAY WITH TEMPERATURES AT OR SLIGHTLY BELOW
NORMAL. ANOTHER FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH ON WEDNESDAY AND
BRING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...ALONG WITH VERY
WINDY CONDITIONS...BACK TO OUR FORECAST. COOL HIGH PRESSURE THEN
RETURNS WITH FAIR AND BREEZY CONDITIONS FOR THE END OF THE
WORKWEEK.
