THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL
NEW MEXICO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AN UNSEASONABLY COLD AND STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL MOVE THROUGH
NEW MEXICO TODAY AND TONIGHT. WIDESPREAD RAIN AND HIGH MOUNTAIN
SNOW WILL RESULT OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE STATE TODAY AND
OVER NORTHEAST AND EASTERN NEW MEXICO TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. SIGNIFICANT
RAINFALL AND HIGH MOUNTAIN SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE LIKELY FROM THIS
SYSTEM. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THE SANGRE
DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS AS WELL AS FOR THE RATON AND JOHNSON MESA
AREAS INCLUDING RATON PASS TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND HEAVY MOUNTAIN SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER
THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE STATE MONDAY MORNING BEFORE TAPERING
OFF TO SCATTERED SHOWERS MONDAY AFTERNOON.
