The last "real" white Christmas was in 2007. There was six inches of snow on the ground at 5 am that morning. While no snow fell during the day, around sunset it began to fall, with a total of 2 inches falling Christmas evening. The last time before that was in 1997. There was six inches of snow on the ground at 5 am that morning, with a total of 1.1 inches falling for the day. Going back yet another 10 years, we arrive at the next most recent white Christmas, which occurred in 1987. There was 3 inches of snow on the ground that Christmas morning, with a record 2.4 inches falling that day. Over the past 55 years, snow has never fallen on two consecutive Christmas'.
