A storm system on the 19th-21st produced 2 to 4 inches of snow in the Casper area followed by by sub-zero temperatures on

The average temperature for Casper was 22.3 degrees which was 1.8 degrees below normal. The highest temperature was 48 degrees
which occurred on the 5th. The lowest temperature was -11 degrees which occurred on the 22nd. Total precipitation for the month was
0.30 inches which was 0.28 inches below normal. The greatest daily snowfall of 1.9 inches fell on the 17th.

The lowest reading was 6 below zero on the 12th. Two record low temperatures occurred. The low temperature fell to 14 degrees on the 7th which tied the record last set in 1973. On the 25th, the low fell to 18 degrees which broke the old record of 20 set in 1985.
A severe thunderstorm tracked across eastern Natrona County for nearly two hours on the 7th producing large hail and even a short-lived tornado. No injuries or damage were attributed to the tornado.
JULY 2008 – Peak Wind Gust 81 MPH for 2008, Dry and Slightly Warmer than Normal
A Columbus Day weekend storm dumped 8 to 10 inches of snow across the Casper area.
The average temperature for Casper was 44.8 degrees which was 0.9 Degrees below normal. The highest reading was 80 degrees which occurred on the 1st and 2nd. The lowest reading was 17 which occurred on the 26th and 27th. Only one record was surpassed this month, a record high on the 31st with a temperature of 70 degrees.
Total precipitation for the month was 0.36 inches which was only 44 percent of normal. The greatest daily rainfall was 0.18 inches on the 11th. Total snowfall was 0.8 inches. This was 11.2 inches below normal. 0.6 inches of this snow fell on the last day of the month.
The highest wind gust was 68 mph and occurred on the 25th.
