temperature for the month was 77 degrees which occurred on the 2nd, which also set a record high for the date. The lowest reading was 19 degrees on the 4th. A low temperature of 22 on the 24th tied a record low for the date.

MAY 2011 – Wettest on Record, 2nd Coldest on Record

temperature for the month was 74 degrees which occurred on the 7th. The lowest reading was 24 degrees

which occurred on the 3rd which also set a record low for the date.

Total precipitation for the month was 1.66 inches which was 144 percent of normal. 1.19 inches of precipitation on the 10th was the highest daily total in 2011, the highest daily total on record received in June, and the 9th highest daily total on record for all dates.

The maximum wind gust of 54 mph out of the southwest was recorded on the 6th.

JULY 2011 – Warmer and Wetter than Normal, Damaging Microburst Winds on the 3rd

The average temperature for Worland was 75.5 degrees which was 3.5 degrees above normal. The highest
temperature for the month and 2011 was 102 degrees which occurred on the 17th. The lowest reading was 52 degrees on the 21st. No daily record temperatures were set or tied during the month.

Total precipitation for the month was only 0.87 inches which was 123 percent of normal; 0.69 inches of this
total occurred on the 18th and 19th.

The maximum wind gust for the month and 2011 of 62 mph out of the southwest was recorded on the 3rd. These strong winds were associated with a thunderstorm producing a dry microburst that blew down trees and power poles, damaging some homes in the Worland area.

AUGUST 2011 – 5th Driest, Much Warmer than Normal

The average temperature for Worland was 73.0 degrees which was 2.9 degrees above normal. The highest
temperature for the month was 98 degrees which occurred on the 24th and 27th. The lowest reading was 48 degrees
on the 17th. o daily record temperatures were set or tied during the month.

Total precipitation for the month was 0.05 inches which was only 12 percent of normal.
