July 2003 Warmest on Record in Lander and Riverton

August 1, 2003 - Lander and Riverton experienced their warmest July ever.  Lander baked in the warmest July since records were kept in 1891 with an average monthly temperature of 75.9 degrees.  Lander's high temperature exceeded 90 degrees on 24 of 31 days in July 2003 and hit a high of 100 degrees on the 23rd and 24th. 

Riverton scorched in the warmest July since records were kept in 1918 with an average monthly temperature of 76.3 degrees.  Riverton's high temperature exceeded 90 degrees on 22 of 31 days in July 2003 and hit a high of 100 degrees on the 16th and 24th.  These two 100 degree readings also set record highs on their respective dates.
