Record Heat Followed by Cold and Snow

October 10, 2003 -  A warm southwest flow on Wednesday (Oct. 8) and Thursday (Oct. 9) produced record heat across central Wyoming with basin temperatures soaring into the lower to mid 80s.  The record heat was followed by a strong cold front that dumped several inches of snow on the northwest mountains on Friday, October 10th.   Trace amounts of snow were also recorded in some of the lower basins on Friday.
