June 2011 will be remembered for the dry and warm conditions over much of the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas with many locations in the top 10 warmest months on record and lowest precipitation on record. The only exception was over a part of central Missouri which actually had above normal precipitation for the month and as a result not as warm of temperatures. (See normal departure maps link above).
