September 2012 continued the trend from August of above normal precipitation and below normal temperatures for much of the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas. The temperature difference was not much below normal, but within a half a degree below normal. The highest amount of precipitation occurred in the southwestern portion of Missouri and into southeast Kansas with the driest area in parts of central Missouri.
