A strong storm system that tracked across the Southern Plains interacted with deep moisture from the Gulf of Mexico to produce widespread rainfall amounts over an inch, with isolated amounts approaching three inches, across southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks on Thursday.  Some of the higher totals measured from automated gages and observers are included in the reports section. is the U.S. government's official web portal to all federal, state and local government web resources and services.
