A storm system brought a mixture of freezing rain...sleet and snow to the Missouri Ozarks and southeast K ansas Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Three to six inches of snow fell from southeast Kansas into central M issouri or generally north of a line from Joplin...to Hermitage...to Vienna .  A mixture of freezing rain...sleet and snow fell south of this line across southern Missouri . Sleet and snow accumulations one half to one inch with freezing rain accumulations of one quarter inch or less were reported.

 Snow accumulations were less than expected across southern M issouri due to a persistent warm layer aloft. This resulted in more sleet and freezing rain accumulations. Below is a county summary of snow...sleet and freezing rain Accumulations in inches:
