530 PM MDT FOR NORTHWESTERN MESA COUNTY...

AT 331 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN DUE
TO THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING
IN THE ADVISORY AREA. NORMALLY DRY WASHES COULD FILL RAPIDLY WITH
FAST FLOWING WATER.

A TRAINED SPOTTER NEAR THE EAST GATE OF THE COLORADO NATIONAL
MONUMENT REPORTED WASHES WITH RAPIDLY FLOWING WATER AND 6 TENTHS OF
AN INCH OF RAIN IN 10 MINUTES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
GRAND JUNCTION...ORCHARD MESA...FRUITVALE...GLADE PARK...CLIFTON AND
REDLANDS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK OR DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE LATE THIS MORNING
AND BECOME NUMEROUS. SOME LOCAL SPOTS WILL HAVE HEAVY RAINFALL AND
SMALL HAIL IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. RAIN SHOWERS WITH A FEW
EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST TONIGHT...BUT SLOWLY TAPER
OFF AFTER MIDNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY...MORE NUMEROUS OVER THE MOUNTAINS. LOCAL STORMS COULD
PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...SCATTERED AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE COLORADO HIGH COUNTRY. EASTERN
UTAH AND THE WESTERN COLORADO LOWER VALLEYS WILL BE DRIER.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY...MOISTURE RETURNS AND SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED.
