THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH LOW HUMIDITY VALUES TO
PRODUCE DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS OVER THE SAN LUIS VALLEY
AND EASTERN PLAINS FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.  LAND MANAGEMENT
AGENCIES HAVE DEEMED FUELS NONCRITICAL AT THIS TIME DUE TO RECENT
PRECIPITATION AND SPRING GREENUP...THEREFORE NO FIRE WEATHER
HIGHLIGHTS ARE IN EFFECT. THAT BEING SAID...OUTDOOR BURNING IS
HIGHLY DISCOURAGED FOR THIS AFTERNOON DUE TO THE CRITICAL
METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD OVER THE MOUNTAIN AREAS AND
INTO THE INTERSTATE 25 CORRIDOR THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.  LIGHTNING
WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT...AND HAIL TO HALF AN INCH AND GUSTY
OUTFLOW WINDS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE WITH
STRONGER STORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

SATURDAY WILL BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO AREAS
IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS...INCLUDING THE PIKES PEAK REGION. PRIMARY
STORM THREATS WILL BE LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 50 MPH AND
SMALL HAIL.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY...SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOWFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE
ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ELSEWHERE. THE PRIMARY THUNDERSTORM THREATS WILL BE
LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH AND SMALL HAIL.

TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF AFTERNOON AND
EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY...SOME POSSIBLY SEVERE.
THE PRIMARY THREATS FROM MOST STORMS DURING THE PERIOD WILL BE
LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH AND SMALL HAIL. HOWEVER...
HAIL AN INCH OR MORE IN DIAMETER AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH OR MORE
WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM ANY SEVERE STORMS THAT DEVELOP.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
POSSIBLE THROUGH THIS EVENING OVER MOUNTAIN AREAS.
