THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAINS THIS
AFTERNOON, PERSISTING INTO THE EVENING AT MANY HIGHER TERRAIN
LOCATIONS. STORMS WILL ALSO SPREAD OVER THE SAN LUIS VALLEY AND
THE I-25 CORRIDOR THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING.
STORMS MAY THEN MOVE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE FAR SOUTHEAST PLAINS
THIS EVENING. THE MAIN THREATS FROM STORMS WILL BE LIGHTNING AND
WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH. SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS WILL ALSO BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND HAIL UP TO NICKEL
SIZE. OVER THE FAR SOUTHEAST PLAINS, ONE OR TWO STORMS MAY BECOME
MARGINALLY SEVERE THIS EVENING, WITH HAIL AROUND 1 INCH IN
DIAMETER AND WINDS AROUND 60 MPH. SLOW MOVING STRONG STORMS COULD
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING, ESPECIALLY IF THEY MOVE OVER URBAN AREAS OR
BURN SCARS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
AREA EACH DAY, MAINLY IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. THE
MAIN THREATS FROM STORMS WILL BE LIGHTNING AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 45
MPH. SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS WILL
ALSO BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS...WIND
GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH AND HEAVY RAINFALL. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL COULD
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING CONCERNS...ESPECIALLY IF THEY OCCUR OVER URBAN
AREAS OR BURN SCARS.

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL
AND SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO.
