THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...EAST
CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING WILL AFFECT FAR EASTERN IOWA...AND NORTHWEST AND WEST
CENTRAL ILLINOIS EARLY THIS MORNING.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS FROM 4 PM
TO MIDNIGHT...MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. THE MAIN
THREAT WILL BE STRONG TO POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS...WITH A LESSER
THREAT OF LARGE HAIL. AN ISOLATED TORNADO CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

HEAVY RAIN IS ALSO LIKELY FOR MUCH OF THE AREA SOUTH OF INTERSTATE
80 TONIGHT AHEAD OF A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT. STORMS MAY MOVE
OVER SOME OF THE SAME AREAS REPEATEDLY LEADING TO SEVERAL INCHES
OF RAIN AND THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH
IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT FOR MUCH OF THE AREA SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SOME LINGERING THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA THURSDAY MORNING BEFORE
THEY EXIT OFF TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY
WINDS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING WILL BE THE MAIN CONCERNS WITH THESE
LINGERING MORNING STORMS.

THE NEXT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL COME LATE FRIDAY NIGHT WEST
OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...AND ACROSS THE REST OF THE AREA SATURDAY
INTO SUNDAY. CURRENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST THAT THE CHANCES FOR
SEVERE STORMS OVER THE WEEKEND WILL BE LOW.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. ANY REPORTS OF
RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF 1 INCH WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
